SALARY: $35-$42/hr. DOE
LOCATION: Sherwood, OR
SCHEDULE: Full-time; Monday-Friday | 6:00am-2:30pm

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC lathe programs using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam preferred), ensuring efficient tool paths and machining strategies based on engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Create setup sheets, tooling requirements, and production documentation while selecting appropriate tooling, inserts, and cutting parameters for heavy steel machining.
- Troubleshoot CNC programs and machining issues on the shop floor, improve existing programs and setups, and document revisions to enhance quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Collaborate with machinists, operators, and engineering teams to improve cycle times, standardize programming practices, and support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of CNC programming experience with a strong background in CNC lathe programming and machining operations.
- Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CAD/CAM software, with Mastercam experience highly preferred.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Fanuc and/or Haas lathe controls, with strong shop-floor problem-solving and process improvement skills.
- Associate's degree in Machine Technology, CNC Programming, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position works in a manufacturing shop environment. The role requires standing for extended periods and working directly on the shop floor alongside machining equipment. Work environment is subject to noise and conditions typical of a production machine shop.
