SEASONAL GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Enjoy working outdoors and making a visible impact in your community? We’re looking for a dependable Grounds Maintenance worker to support the City of Vancouver’s Public Works team this season!

LOCATION: Vancouver, WA
SALARY: $21 per hour
SCHEDULE: Full time, Mon-Thur 7am-3:30pm Fri 6:30am-3pm, Temp (4-6 months)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the city’s 12 mile trail system through litter control, trimming shrubs, and weed removal
- Inspect restroom facilities and restock supplies as needed
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from work trucks
- Assist with planting native plants and shrubs
- Support general grounds maintenance and upkeep projects
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience with construction, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or DIY projects preferred
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The position works primarily outdoors and requires exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and load/unload equipment regularly.
