Job Description
Our client is looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to join an energetic team and fuel growth by promoting products, building strong client relationships, and managing accounts within an assigned territory. Success in this role requires 1–2 years of sales experience specifically in the material handling industry, proactive customer engagement, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

LOCATION: Portland, OR
SALARY: $65k annually + commission is unlimited (earning potential $150k - $200k)
SCHEDULE: Full-time; Monday–Friday (Direct Hire)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive new business by conducting outreach through cold calling, networking, and in-person visits to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.

Deliver Engaging Presentations, showcase product features and benefit through tailored demonstrations that address client needs.

Manage & Grow Accounts. Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering presentations and product demonstrations that align solutions to customer needs.

Close Deals & Exceed Targets. Negotiate contracts, close sales, and consistently meet or exceed performance goals.

Keep CRM records up to date, stay current on industry trends and competitor activity, and collaborate with the sales team on strategies for growth.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Industry-Specific Sales Experience – 1–2 years of experience in material handling sales is required, with working knowledge of relevant products or equipment.

Proven success in outside sales or territory management, including strong prospecting and cold-calling abilities.

Skilled at building and maintaining long-term client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

Confident in delivering product demonstrations and clearly communicating value propositions.

Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing deals while consistently meeting sales targets.

Ability to manage multiple accounts with attention to detail while working independently and efficiently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is primarily based in an office setting with occasional travel for client meetings and presentations. Candidates should be comfortable using a computer for extended periods and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
