SALARY: $75k+/yr. DOE
LOCATION: Portland, OR
SCHEDULE: Full-time | Monday-Friday | In-Office | Direct Hire

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage case files from intake through resolution, maintaining organized records and proactively tracking deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other key litigation milestones.
Draft correspondence, pleadings, settlement demand letters, and other legal documents under attorney supervision while conducting legal research and supporting case strategy.
Coordinate discovery by organizing, reviewing, and tracking document production, maintaining discovery and privilege logs, and requesting, organizing, and summarizing medical records, police reports, and other case-related documents.
Communicate directly with clients, expert witnesses, investigators, medical providers, court reporters, and other parties while providing exceptional client service throughout the litigation process.
Prepare and electronically file documents in Oregon and Washington state and federal courts, assist with trial preparation, and provide administrative support to help ensure efficient office operations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant supporting Oregon civil litigation matters; personal injury or civil rights litigation experience is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of Oregon and/or Washington court rules, civil procedure, and e-filing systems.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, competing deadlines, and complex litigation matters with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong written communication, proofreading, and legal drafting skills, along with the ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is preferred but not required with relevant litigation experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and using standard office equipment. The ability to occasionally lift and carry files, office supplies, or trial materials up to 20 pounds and move throughout the office to support daily operations is required.
