Quality Assurance Inspector

LOCATION: Greater Portland Area
SALARY: $22-$33/hr. DOE
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Night Shift (Monday–Thursday 6:00pm–4:30am or Friday–Sunday 6:00pm–6:30am)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform in-process and final inspections using engineering drawings and specifications
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Document inspection results in accordance with company procedures
• Identify and report nonconforming materials using internal systems
• Conduct floor inspections and collaborate with machinists to resolve issues
• Inspect components with extremely tight tolerances (as low as 0.0001 inch)
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
• Proficiency with mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision environment
• Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
• Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
